Cross Cultural Mission in Great Britain & Ireland
GETTING INVOLVED IN CROSS-CULTURAL CHRISTIAN MISSIONARY WORK NO LONGER MEANS THAT YOU NEED TO GO OVERSEAS. THERE ARE MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO REACH OUT TO IMMIGRANT COMMUNITIES IN GREAT BRITAIN & IRELAND WITH WORDS AND ACTIONS OF GRACE AND TRUTH.
We have 36 full time and 21 associate workers established in Great Britain & Ireland, working in cities like Birmingham, London, Manchester and Sheffield. The team models ways to enable Asian and Arabised people to hear, understand and respond to the gospel, in culturally appropriate ways.
Check out our resource centre Kitab.
Or do a Friendship First course to help your mission to Muslims.
Acts 1:8 tells us that mission goes from here to everywhere. We believe that most churches are engaged in local mission but that many need a little help when it comes to cross-cultural or overseas mission. We would like to help. We have lots to offer churches wherever you are up to in your mission journey. Book a 'serve' meeting with one of our team.
Go to Asia and the Arab World
IF YOU COULD GO ON MISSION ANYWHERE, WHERE WOULD YOU GO?
IS IT TIME FOR YOU TO SERVE GOD IN CROSS-CULTURAL MISSION? YOU CAN USE YOUR SKILLS TO REACH THE MARGINALISED, DESITUTE OR UNREACHED PEOPLES OF ASIA & THE ARAB WORLD BY GETTING INVOLVED IN LONG TERM OR SHORT TERM OVERSEAS MISSION.
Why Get Involved?
IF THE WORLD WAS 100 PEOPLE:
20 WOULD LIVE IN A SLUM
42 WOULD NEVER HEAR ABOUT JESUS
49 WOULD LIVE ON LESS THAN £1.50 A DAY
Preaching good news to the poor (Luke 4:18a)
42% of the world's population have no access to the gospel and unless something changes will live and die without ever hearing the Good News about what Jesus did for them. And 81% of these live in Asia and the Arab World. We believe that everyone deserves to know and experience Jesus' love.
Freedom for the prisoners (Luke 4:18b)
Poverty affects people in many ways and can be measured by finances, education, liberty, relationships and hope. Families can be trapped for generations, feeling hopeless and out of control. We work to bring freedom and release for the poor and oppressed.
Recovery of sight for the blind (Luke 4:18c)
Often hidden away, the sheer volume of people who are sick, disabled or injured is not immediately apparent when visiting developing countries. Shame and fear surround disabilities and treatable conditions remain uncared for.
Interserve is one of many players in God’s mission to bring the good news about Jesus to the nations. The needs are great and there is much to do. What part can you play in this vital work?
