The care may in the form of acute nursing care or patient education and takes place in a small primary care clinic in a refugee camp as well as in projects that involve in-home rehabilitation being part of teams caring for patients with PKU (a congenital metabolic disorder) training local midwives etc. There is some opportunity for mentoring local nurses and potentially options to teach nursing at the university if the person has adequate credentials.
Nurses who apply should be flexible cross-culturally skilled and able to take personal initiative. They should be able to work with a team and do what is needed. They should plan to work on learning the local language.
