This is a personal quiet effort by volunteer professionals from around the world who live and work alongside local communities and government assisting in the development of the country.
We are looking for an experienced counsellor for psychological care for refugees who have experienced war displacement family loss and abuse. A background in trauma counselling would be particularly helpful but any counselling experience is good. Work would take place in an established refugee camp as well as in other projects.
You need to be flexible compassionate resilient able to work with a team and able to take the initiative in developing programs as needed. You must be able to work across cultures. Candidates must plan to learn the local language and culture. Emotional resilience and awareness of self-care and team-care are important.
